The Bergamo Alps are actually part of the larger Italian Alps which is part of the even larger Central Eastern Alps. The village of Bergamo is actually not part of the alps but is named after it and is south of these mountains. The beauty is unrivaled especially in bad weather like fog. The highest peak of the Bergamo Alps is on a mountain top named Pizzo di Coca at 3052 meters.
